Environmental

Environmental services provided by MHR Engineering encompass all three major areas: compliance, restoration and preservation. The core group supporting the company environmental program has extensive experience supporting all these three areas.  This group includes experts who have provided technical and management support to various DoD entities including the U.S. Air Force/AFCEE, Navy/NAVFAC and Air National Guard under a number of contracts including GEITA, SETA, Navy CLEAN, EMAC and ATRDEAS.  Services provided include total support for planning and implementation of all phases of CERCLA/RCRA (PA/SI, RI/FS, PP/ROD, RD/DBR, RA, LTM, 5-Year review and SC) towards clean-up, restoration and closing of environmentally impacted sites in military bases nationwide.

Several members of the current MHR environmental group were part of the AFCEE (now AFCEC) team assigned to Program Requirements Development (PRD) initiative of the organization.  The team identified the AF and Air National Guard (ANG) installations nationwide and overseas requiring characterization, clean-up, restoration and closing. The program involved developing project cost estimating assumptions documents (PCEADs), cost estimating RACER®, preparing and reviewing financial spreadsheets, and performing cost variance quality assurance for IRP, CRP and MMRP sites. Services provided also included designing engineering systems for environmental restorations projects as well as creating and over viewing Federal Regulatory Documents in support of AFCEE’s Mission.
